The photographs presented in light boxes show tied flies.
These bait objects were handmade by my grandfather and used for fly fishing. The macro photographs stage the flies as living insects, with many details. The objects, imitate real species of flies, but are not themselves intended as display objects. By photographing the individual objects, a form of conservation takes place in the sense of a caretaking for a memory object, which through the exhibition yet stands as a deceptive object in a context of a human relationship with the natural world.
